CPH hoteliers invest millions in comfort and sustainability

Hamburg, [13.2.2025] – CPH hoteliers are focusing on securing the future: numerous member hotels have undergone extensive modernisation in recent months or are currently in the middle of renovation. Several million euros have been invested – from targeted modernisations to extensive core refurbishments. The spectrum ranges from smaller measures starting at 25,000 euros to major projects with an investment volume of over one million euros. All the measures have one thing in common: they provide more comfort, modern technology and sustainable concepts – and therefore an even better guest experience.

Major renovation projects: Sustainable, high-quality, forward-looking

The CPH Hotel in Wolfsburg is an outstanding example of comprehensive and environmentally friendly modernisation. Ten flats have been completely renovated here – perfect for long-stay guests. The use of dry clay construction and clay design plaster optimises the indoor climate, regulates humidity and prevents mould growth. High-quality solid oak wood from 200-year-old fallen urban forest oaks was used for the furnishings. When selecting all the wall and floor coverings, it was taken into account that micro dry steam cleaners are used for maintenance cleaning – a sustainable technology that ensures maximum hygiene with minimum water and cleaning agent consumption. In addition, the 220 m² conservatory was fitted with new insulating glazing, helping to improve the carbon footprint.

The CPH Hotel in Würzburg is also investing extensively in modernisation: 18 rooms – nine double and nine single rooms – are being completely renovated, including risers, heating, air conditioning, electrical and water installations, furniture and media technology.

Another major project was realised at the CPH Hotel in Soltau: All of the nearly 200 rooms were successively renovated, as was the restaurant, which now shines in a modern and inviting ambience. And there is more to come: the renovation of the bathrooms and a technical upgrade and redesign of the conference rooms are already planned for 2025. The conference hotel, which is a real top address for conferences, is once again setting new standards in comfort and technology in the industry.

Major modernisation work was also carried out at the CPH Hotel in Schwarzenberg. Four suites have been completely refurnished, while new curtains, wallpaper, lighting and beds in 12 superior rooms provide a fresh sense of space.

The CPH Hotel Am Schloss in Apolda has invested in the feel-good experience and in sustainability: In addition to a partial renovation of the rooms, in which new accents were added for a modern and cosy ambience, the conference technology was upgraded. The installation of a photovoltaic system on the hotel roof is groundbreaking, making a sustainable contribution to reducing CO₂ emissions and further improving the hotel’s ecological footprint.

Targeted modernisation: Small measures with a big impact

In addition to these large-scale renovations, many CPH hoteliers are focusing on targeted modernisations that significantly enhance the guest experience.

At the CPH Hotel in Karlsruhe, new carpets and fresh wall colours will create an inviting ambience.

The CPH Hotel in Worpswede is giving 17 rooms a modern feel-good atmosphere with new beds and a soft touch-up.

The CPH Hotel in Ulm has also implemented targeted innovations: New televisions in the rooms, modern screens in the conference rooms and new bed heads provide additional comfort.

Investing in the future – for guests and hosts

Whether a complete redesign or targeted modernisation – the investments made by CPH hoteliers are a clear commitment to the future. The focus is not only on comfort and design, but also on sustainability and technical innovations.

With these measures, the CPH hoteliers remain true to their slogan ‘Simply good hosts’ – and ensure that guests feel welcome and well looked after in every accommodation.

The renovations and investments presented here are just some of the numerous modernisation measures currently being implemented at CPH Hotels.
